  • A chance to work in a friendly team, to make new friends and meet a diverse group of people.
  • The opportunity to make an invaluable contribution to Silsden.
  • The time to develop your confidence and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to gain valuable work experience to add onto your CV and to learn new skills

Event Day Volunteering

You’ll be helping us to set up the event which may include setting up the hall / rooms, putting up banners or meeting and greeting local people attending the event. If you’re looking for a role that’s hands on and if you have loads of enthusiasm then sign up today.

Do Your DofE Volunteering Section

We have opportunities for you to complete the volunteering section of your Duke of Edinburgh Award with FOSTH through our long list of community events. Whether you’re doing your Bronze, Silver or Gold award you will have a chance to learn new skills and gain experience in anything from customer service to entertainment management, social media or more. Volunteering with FOSTH is the perfect opportunity not only to contribute to your Duke of Edinburgh but to boost your CV and have fun whilst you’re at it.

Administration Volunteering

You’ll be responsible for setting up the administration area at events where we gather peoples personal information to inform them of other things happening at the town hall and helping assist participants and spectators with any queries. We’re looking for people with great communication and organisational skills, a proactive attitude and, ideally, some administrative experience.
